Kibale Rock Lodge

Coming Soon Near Kibale Forest National Park

A new story is unfolding at the edge of Uganda’s wild heart.
Nestled in Kingo, Bigodi, Kamwenge, our upcoming sister lodge promises a peaceful retreat bordering the world-famous Kibale Forest National Park which is the Primate Capital of the World.

This new haven will blend the essence of Uganda’s untamed wilderness with elegant, eco-conscious hospitality. It’s where comfort meets conservation, and where travelers find both adventure and tranquility in one unforgettable stay.

Our Purpose

The lodge is designed to celebrate nature without disturbing it.
Every space, from the rooms to the dining terraces, will embrace the forest’s rhythm hence offering guests front-row views of the green canopy, the calls of distant birds, and the calm of untouched beauty.

Our purpose is simple: to create a place where travelers reconnect with the natural world while supporting local communities and conservation efforts. It’s more than a stay, it’s an experience that gives back.

Discover Kibale Forest National Park

Just beyond our gates lies Kibale Forest National Park, a tropical paradise teeming with life. Covering 795 square kilometers, it is one of Africa’s most diverse rainforests and home to over 1,500 chimpanzees and 12 other primate species.

Kibale is world-renowned for its chimpanzee trekking experiences, allowing visitors to observe these intelligent and social creatures in their natural home. The forest also shelters over 350 bird species, 70 mammals, and countless butterflies and rare trees.

Walking through Kibale feels like entering an ancient world, filled with the sound of rustling leaves, echoing calls of primates, and the serenity only true wilderness can offer.

What Makes Kibale Famous

Kibale’s fame comes not only from its wildlife but from its atmosphere, a harmony of science, tourism, and pure wilderness. The park is one of the few places in Africa offering chimpanzee habituation experiences, where visitors can spend hours alongside researchers studying these primates.

Beyond wildlife, Kibale’s cool climate, scenic forest trails, and untouched landscapes make it a photographer’s dream and a nature lover’s paradise. The park also plays a vital role in conservation and education, uniting scientists, travelers, and local communities in protecting one of Uganda’s most precious ecosystems.

Bigodi, the Soul of Community Tourism

Our upcoming lodge sits within Bigodi Village, a place where culture and conservation live side by side. Bigodi is famous for the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, a community-managed eco-tourism project that supports both wildlife and local livelihoods.

The sanctuary is a paradise for bird lovers, boasting over 200 bird species, including the striking Great Blue Turaco. Nature walks here reveal not just birds and monkeys but also the heart of Uganda’s rural life.

Guests can visit homesteads, meet artisans, and enjoy traditional food and crafts. Every encounter in Bigodi tells a story of resilience, hospitality, and harmony between people and nature.

Location — Kingo, Bigodi, Kamwenge
