Lake Bunyonyi ( many little birds) lies in southwestern Uganda between Kisoro and Kabale close to the border with Rwanda. Located at 1,962 m above sea level about 25 km long and 7 km wide, Lake Bunyonyi is the second deepest lake in Africa. The temperature on the surface rises to 25 degrees Celsius (77 °F) the lake has 29 islands and is bilharzia and safe for swimming
