Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Pick up & transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

The driver guide from our company will pick you up from ether Entebbe airport of your hotel in Kampala for a transfer to Lake Bunyonyi. The drive time is roughly 8-10 hours via different districts. Stop at the Uganda Equator for photographs and refreshment and in Mbarara city for en route lunch proceeding to Lake Bunyonyi

Day 2:1st Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Forest

Have a heavy breakfast and with your packed lunch transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National park home to half of the world’s total gorilla population. You will assemble at any respective park headquarters (Buhoma, Rushaga, Ruhija, and Nkuringo) where registration, briefing, and gorilla family allocation takes place. In your group of seven, you will be assigned one gorilla family to visit. At 8:00 am start off the hike into the jungle forest searching for the endangered gorillas. The actual time to spend in the jungle is not certain but ranges between 2-8 hours. You might encounter other wild animals and birds, which live in this forest. On meeting the gorillas, spend an hour in their presence, take pictures, embrace their human-like charters and enjoy this lifetime experience. In the evening, drive back to Bunyonyi for overnight

Day 3: Optional activities at lake Bunyonyi

Spend this whole day exploring Lake Bunyonyi. Take part in different activities such as boat cruising to visit the islands, zip lining, community tours, Nyombe and swamp walk. More so, Lake Bunyonyi is free from crocodiles and bilharzia, which makes it safe for swimming.

Day 4: 2nd Gorilla trekking in Mgahinga Gorilla Park

You shall have your second gorilla trek today! Rise up very early, have a heavy breakfast, and with your packed lunch drive to Mgahinga gorilla National park located in the Kisoro district. Registration and briefing take place at Ntebeko Visitor Information Centre. The trek to meet Nyakagyezi, the only gorilla family in Mgahinga starts at 8:00 am and can last for between 2-6 hours. This depends on where gorillas will be located and your hiking speed. The allowed time to spend with gorillas is strictly an hour from the moment you see them. In addition to gorillas, Mgahinga Park shelters golden monkeys, black and white colobus, Forest Elephants, and African buffalos among other birds. The park also shelters over200 bird species some of which are endemic to the Albertine region. You will alter the drive back to Bunyonyi for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Departure

This is the last day of our 5 Days safari. You can do any optional activity as you enjoy your last moments at the lake. Have breakfast, check out, and drive back to Kampala for your connecting flight.
