Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Pick up & transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Upon arrival at Entebbe International airport, your driver guide from our company will be waiting for you. Meet, greet and briefly go through the itinerary. You will then set off for a drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park in southwestern Uganda. The drive time is roughly 7 hours comprised of stopovers and lunch breaks. You can do an optional evening game drive to catch up with wild animals feeding before retiring for the night.

Day 2: Game viewing & launch cruise

Wake up very early and go for a game viewing experience in the Kasenyi plains of the park. Expect to see various wild animals such as Buffalos, Lions, Elephants, Uganda kobs, hyenas, leopards, Waterbucks, Elands, Impalas, and warthogs among others. Return to the lodge for late breakfast and chill as you wait for lunch. In the afternoon, go for a launch cruise at the Kazinga channel. The banks of the river shelter hippos, buffalos, and numerous birds such as Hammerkop African Kingfisher, African Jacana, African fish eagle, Yellow-billed stork, African Skimmer, Black bee-eater, Long-tailed cormorant, Papyrus gonolek and Pink-backed pelican among others. The cruise also offers you scenic views of the park, nearby fishing villages, and wildlife.

Day 3: Ishasha sector & transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

After morning breakfast, check out of the lodge and drive to the Ishasha sector south of Queen Elizabeth National Park. Ishasha is well known for sheltering the rare tree-climbing lions seen in the acacia trees. You will drive out of the park and with lunch en route transfer to Lake Bunyonyi. If you reach early, you can do any optional activity, swimming and canoeing among others. Overnight stay at Lake Bunyonyi Rock Resort

Day 4: Island tour, zip lining & community visits

Today you will take part in different activities on Lake Bunyonyi. After sunrise breakfast, go for an island tour by boat. Explore different islands, which make up Lake Bunyonyi such as Bushara, Akampene, Bucuraniko, Bwama, and the punishment island. Different activities such as farming and grazing are done on these islands. Thereafter, go for the adventurous zip-lining experience. Swing above the waters crossing from one side of the lake to the other. The experience offers you scenic views of the Lake and the beautiful rolling hills of Kigezi. In the evening, you will go for a community tour to the Batwa and Bakiga communities near Lake Bunyonyi. You will interact with local people to learn about their traditions, norms, customs, and beliefs. All meals and overnight will be at Lake Bunyonyi Rock Resort

Day 5: Boat cruise & Departure

Following a relaxed breakfast, go for a boat cruise experience as you enjoy the sunrise. Having enjoyed Lake Bunyonyi to the fullest, embark on a drive back to Kampala for your return flight.
