Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Pick up & transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

The driver guide from Lake Bunyonyi Rock Resort will pick up from either your hotel in Kampala/Entebbe or the airport for a transfer to Lake Bunyonyi Rock Resort. The drive time from Kampala to Lake Bunyonyi is roughly 9-10 hours across different districts and people. You will have several stops along the way for lunch, photos, and refreshment, which make this journey amazing. Overnight stay at Lake Bunyonyi Rock resort.

Day 2: Explore Lake Bunyonyi

Spend this whole day exploring Lake Bunyonyi. You will take part in different activities such as boat cruising to the islands, swimming, bird watching, zip lining, batwa community tours, Nyombe swamp walk, bicycling and visiting the black smith. Lake Bunyonyi is the second deepest lake in Africa whose waters are crocodile and Bilharzia free.

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking in Mgahinga

Today you rise up very early, have breakfast and get ready for gorilla trekking experience in Mgahinga Gorilla National park. Lake Bunyonyi Rock Resort will give you packed lunch and with your driver guide transfer to Mgahinga in Kisoro district. Assemble at Ntebeko Visitor Information Centre where you will be registered and briefed on the rules and regulations of gorilla trekking.  The trek to meet Nyakagyezi gorilla family starts at 8:00am. Hiking time can take between 30 minutes to over 7 hours as you roam in the jungle. Spend an hour with these endangered primates; see how Mark Silverback gorilla guards his territory while other family members play other roles. Besides gorillas, Mgahnga is home to the endangered golden monkeys, vervet monkeys, colubus monkeys, forest elephants and African buffalos among others. The park also hosts three distinct volcanoes (Gahinga, Muhabura & Sabyinyo), which offer travelers a lifetime volcano climbing experience. Overnight stay at Lake Bunyonyi Rock Resort.

Day 4:1st Conference meeting

You will have your 1st conference meeting at the resort. Have breakfast and start your meeting. enjoy the scenic views of lake bunyonyi and have dinner.

Day 5: 2nd Conference meeting & Departure

After your morning breakfast at Lake Bunyonyi Rock Resort, head back to the conference hall situated at the resort for your 2nd conference meeting. Depending on what time the meeting will end; you may after all head over to the airport for a departure back home
