Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Pick up & transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, the driver guide representing our company will be waiting for you. After the meet and greet, start off a drive crossing over to Uganda via Katuna border. Drive to Lake Bunyonyi for an overnight at Lake Bunyonyi Rock Resort.

Day 2: Boat cruise, zip lining, community tour & Nyombe swamp

Spend this whole day at Lake Bunyonyi taking part in different activities. Some of these include boat cruising to explore different islands (Akampene, Bucuraniko, Bwama, Bushara, Punishment islands) of the lake. You will also do zip lining for aerial views of the lake and the neighboring communities/activities. Go for a community tour to meet and share with local people. Learn and experience the traditions, norms and beliefs of indigenous tribes (Batwa & Bakiga) who live near the park). The other interesting activities to do at Lake Bunyonyi include Nyombe swamp walk, mountain biking, swimming, bird watching, and visiting the Bukora ironsmith. Dinner and overnight at Lake Bunyonyi Rock Resort

Day 3: Transfer to Lake Mburo & boat cruise

Enjoy sunrise breakfast on the shores of Lake Bunyonyi, check out and transfer to Lake Mburo National park. Check into your lodge, refresh and have lunch. In the afternoon go for a boat ride at Lake Mburo after which the park was named” Lake Mburo”. The swampy shores of Lake Mburo are home to birds and wild water animals, which you will definitely see!

Day 4: Game Viewing & departure

Very early in the morning, go for game drives to catch up with early risers hunting and grazing before sunrise. Lake Mburo shelters animals like zebras, giraffes, buffalos, hippos, wild pigs, Uganda kobs, waterbucks, Leopards, Hyenas, and Elands among others. Return to the lodge for breakfast, check out, and depart to catch up with your departure flight at Entebbe airport
