Detailed Itinerary

Day One 1st November 2023: Visit Mabamba Swamp for shoebill stork & Visit Entebbe zoo

Very early today, visit the Mabamba wetland which is home for the rare shoebill stork. A boat ride in Mabamba swamp offers you close encounter with this rare bird and other bird species which live there. Later in today, you will visit Entebbe zoo to see a variety of birds, primates and other animals which live in captivity.

Day Two 2nd November 2023: Transfer to Jinja for a white water rafting experience

Have an early morning breakfast and transfer to Jinja for the adventurous white water rafting experience.  You will spend this whole day rafting on the Nile River while exploring the beauty and hidden gem of this mighty river. The boat cruise also offers you scenic views of the neighboring communities.  In the evening, drive back to Kampala for an overnight.

Day Three 3rd November 2023: Transfer to ZZiwa sanctuary for rhino tracking & Overnight in Gulu City

Today, you will have early morning breakfast at your hotel/lodge and transfer to Zziwa rhino sanctuary in Nakasongola. The site is the only place where the critically endangered rhinos are seen, enjoy a trek to see these endangered creatures. Thereafter transfer to Gulu city for an overnight.

Day Four 4th November 2023: Transfer to Kidepo Valley National Park – night Game viewing experience

After breakfast at your hotel, you can have an optional city tour to discover the beauty of the newly formed Gulu city. You will then transfer to Kidepo Valley National Park, Uganda’s least visited park located in north eastern Uganda. After checking in and refreshing at your lodge, go for night game viewing experience ($70pp) to meet up with various wild animals which feed at night. Stay at Apoka Campsite

Day Five 5th November 2023: Day and night game watching

This whole day is for discovering the beauty of this isolated park. Rise up very early and go for morning game drives to catchup with early risers feeding before sunrise. The park is home to animals such as cheetahs, lions, leopards, giraffes, buffalos, lions, waterbucks, Hippos, Topis, Uganda kobs, warthogs, and elephants among others.  Return to the lodge for late breakfast and relax waiting for hot lunch. You will then go for a night game drive at $70pp to see nocturnal wild animals

Day Six 6th November 2023: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park- Evening game drive; optional night drives

Have an early morning breakfast at your lodge and drive out of Kidepo Valley National Park. Embark on the journey to Murchison Falls National park, Uganda’s oldest and largest park located in North western Uganda. Arrive in the afternoon, check in and refresh. You will then go for night game drive ($70pp) to catchup with nocturnal wild animals hunting.

Day Seven 7th November 2023: Morning game drives & afternoon boat cruise and optional night game drives

In the early morning, go for guided game viewing experience in the plains of Murchison Falls National park. Game drives in the park offer you exceptional views of numerous wild animals grazing and predators hunting. Expect to see wild animals such as Giraffes, Lions, Hippos, Buffalos, elephants, Hyenas, Leopards, Waterbucks, Warthogs, Uganda Kobs, Topis and Oribis among others. Return to the lodge for late breakfast and wait for lunch. In the afternoon, for a boat cruise to the bottom of the falls to clearly see how the strong waters squeeze through a narrow gorge of 7 meters falling 43 meters down into the devil’s cauldron to form a permanent rainbow. The boat cruise also offers you great views of numerous birds and wild water animals which live at the banks of the Nile river. You may also have an optional night game drive to see nocturnal animals which feed at night at $70pp.

Day Eight 8th November 2023: Visit top of the falls and transfer to Kibale Forest National Park – Optional night walk

After breakfast, visit the top of the fall for clear views of the mighty falls. The top of the falls offers you scenic views of the entire park and wild life there. Later on, drive out of Murchison Falls National park headed to Kibale Forest National park, home to the endangered chimpanzees. If you wish, go for an optional night walk ($70pp) in the forest for a more experimental and adventurous experience.

Day Nine 9th November 2023: Chimpanzee trekking & visit Bigodi community swamp – optional night walk

Today you will wake up very early, have breakfast and transfer to Kanyanchu Visitor Information Centre for registration and briefing on the rules and regulations of chimpanzee trekking. Together with other 7 travelers, you will be allocated a chimpanzee community to trek.  You will be allowed to spend an hour with chimpanzees in their communities. The trek to see chimpanzees also offers you chance to meet other primates such as Red tailed monkeys, Vervet monkeys, Grey Cheeked Mangabey, Blue Monkeys , Black and white colobus among others which live in this forest.  In the afternoon, go for a nature walk in Bigodi wetland sanctuary home to various birds, amphibians and primates. The community tour also offers you chance to meet and interact with local people who share their norms, customs and beliefs. In the night, go for an optional night walk($70pp) to taste the night life in the forest

Day Ten 10th November 2023: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park- Afternoon boat cruise – optional night game drive

Enjoy your last moments in Kibale Forest National park, the primate’s capital of Africa. You can do optional nature walk in the morning. Have breakfast, check out and hit the road headed to Queen Elizabeth National park, Uganda’s second largest park. Arrive at lunch time, check in, refresh and in the afternoon, go for a boat cruiser at Kazinga Channel which connects Lakes Edward and George. The cruise offers you scenic views of the park, wild animals, birds and fishing communities. Enjoy the fresh cold breezes and scenic views of QENP.  You can have an optional nigh game drive in park to catch up with nocturnal wild animals which feed at night at $70pp

Day Eleven 11th November 2023: Lion tracking experience & transfer to Lake Mburo National Park

Very early today, transfer to kasenyi plains for the experimental lion tracking experience at $150pp optional. The activity entails following up different prides of lions in the wilderness to learn about their social lives and lifestyle.  Radio callers have been set up in the park to sense the movements of Lions and inform you which direction to take. Thereafter, return to the lodge for late breakfast, check out and transfer to Lake Mburo National Park. You can do optional evening game drives at ($50) to catchup up with wild animals feeding before night rests. You can also do optional night game drive to see nocturnal wild animals feeding and hunting at night at ($70).

Day Twelve 12th November 2023: Game Viewing & transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

Go for morning game drives to catchup with early risers feeding before sunrise.  You will see numerous animals such as zebras, giraffes, bushbucks, bushpigs, Uganda kobs, Lions, Leopards and wild dogs among others. Return to the lodge for late breakfast and early lunch.  In the afternoon, transfer to Lake Bunyonyi Rock Resort for dinner and overnight

Day Thirteen 13th November 2023: Relax at the resort- optional activities at Lake Bunyonyi

Spend this entre day relaxing at Lake Bunyonyi Rock Resort located on the shores of Lake Bunyonyi, the second deepest Lake in Africa. Boat cruise/island tour by boat.  Alternatively, you can do any optional activities done at the lake such as swimming, boat cruising, zip lining, visiting batwa pygmies, bird watching, and visiting Nyombe swamp.

Day Fourteen 14th November 2023: Mountain gorilla trekking in Bwindi Forest

Today you will rise up very early, have breakfast and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National park, home to the highest population of mountain gorillas in the whole world. Drive to any respective park headquarter where registration and pre gorilla trekking briefing takes place. The actual trek to meet the endangered primate begin at 8:00am lasting for between 30 minutes to over 7 hours depending on the location of gorillas and your hiking speed. The allowed time with the gorillas is strictly an hour counted from the moment you see them. Embrace the human characters of these endangered primates, take pictures and enjoy this lifetime experience. Overnight at Lake Bunyonyi Rock Resort

Day Fifteen 15th November 2023: Golden monkey trekking in Mgahinga gorilla park

Wakeup very early for heavy breakfast and with your packed lunch drive to Mgahinga Gorilla National park for golden monkey trekking experience/Batwa community visit to see their historical lifestyle. Assemble at Ntebeko visitor information Centre for registration and briefing on the dos, don’ts and expectations. You will then hike into the jungle forest searching for the lively endangered golden monkeys. After meeting them, spend an hour in their company, take pictures, capture videos and have e lively moment with these playful creatures. Later in the day, drive back to Lake Bunyonyi Rock resort for dinner and overnight

Day Sixteen 16th November 2023: Relax at the resort – Optional second gorilla trekking experience

You will spend this whole day chilling at the resort as you enjoy scenic views of Lake Bunyonyi and the neighboring local communities. Alternatively, you can do optional second gorilla trekking($800pp) in Bwindi Forest/Mgahinga Park, mountain hiking ($300pp) (Mt Gahinga, Mt Sabyinyo & Mt Mufumbiro) or go for an optional batwa cultural trail ($300pp) in Mgahinga Gorilla National Park. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and overnight stay at Lake Bunyonyi Rock resort.

Day Seventeen 17th November 2023: Visit Nyombe Swamp by boat for birdwatching and afternoon hike to the top of the world for lake views and community experience!

Day Eighteen 18th November 2023: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park, visit the ibyiwacu cultural village

Following early breakfast, you will be transfer to Volcanoes National Park located in North western Rwanda. The park is home to the highest population of gorillas in the Virunga Massif and also shelters a variety of other primates and birds.  You will visit the Ibyiwacu cultural village also called the Gorilla Guardians Village where you will learn and experience the traditions, norms, customs and cultures of Rwanda people. Traditional dances and songs are performed to welcome and entertain you. You will take part in different activities such as preparing local food, brewing local beers and many others. Overnight stay at your lodge

Day Nineteen 19th November 2023: Golden monkey trekking/Dian Fossey Graveyard hike or Optional Mountain gorilla trekking

Today, you will choose between golden monkey trekking experience to encounter the lively creatures in their natural habitats or hike to the grave yard of Dian Fossey an American Primatologist who was murdered by poachers during her campaign against poaching in the Virunga Conservation Area. Alternatively, you can opt to do another gorilla trekking experience to encounter one of the 10 habituated gorilla families in Volcanoes National Park( $1600)

Day Twenty 20th November 2023: Transfer to Rusizi Town

Have a relaxed breakfast as you enjoy your last moments in Volcanoes National Park. Thereafter, check out and embark on a journey to Rusizi town. Spend the rest of the day chilling at your hotel or exploring the city

Day Twenty-One 21st November 2023: Cross the border through Bukavu to Kahuzi Biega National Park

Very early today, have heavy breakfast, get your packed lunch and cross the border through Bukavu connecting to Kahuzi Biega National Park in Eastern DRC for Lowland gorilla trekking experience.  Get a chance to meet and enjoy the company of the largest gorilla specie in the world and embrace their style of living. The allowed time with the endangered gorillas is strictly an hour. Thereafter, you will return to Rusizi city for an overnight

Day Twenty-Two 22nd November 2023: Transfer to Bujumbura city in Burundi

After a relaxed breakfast, you will transfer to Bujumbura city in Burundi. You can do optional city tour of relax at your hotel waiting preparing for the next day’s activities

Day Twenty-Three 23rd November 2023: Cultural visit for drumming experience

Today, you will visit Burundi cultural sites for drumming experience. Experience different styles of drumming as people dance and sing facts about their cultures and traditions. If you wish, you can take part in the drumming. The tour also gives you chance to meet and interact with local people who share their daily lifestyles

Day Twenty-Four 24th November 2023: Chill at Lake Tanganyika, do optional activities

Spend this day chilling on the shores of Lake Tanganyika. You can do optional activities at the lake such as boat cruising, sunbathing, kayaking, sport fishing and scenic viewing among others.

Day Twenty-Five 25th November 2023: Transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park

Following an early morning breakfast, transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park located in south western Rwanda. The park is famous for chimpanzee trekking, canopy walk, colobus monkey trekking, bird watching and forest walks among other interesting activities.

Day Twenty-Six 26th November 2023: Canopy walk/colubus monkey trekking

On this day, you can do optional canopy walk of colobus monkey trekking experience. The canopy walk offers you great Ariel views of Nyungwe Forest, Virunga Volcanoes and local communities in Rwanda while the colobus monkey trekking experience offers you opportunity to meet different species of monkeys which live in this rain forest.

Day Twenty-Seven 27th November 2023: Transfer to Kigali/optional night life

Enjoy your breakfast, check out and transfer to Kigali, the capital of Rwanda. You can do an optional night life visiting different clubs, bars and casinos in the city centre. The nightlife is best for boozing and clubbing.

Day Twenty-Eight 28th November 2023: Visit Akagera National Park

Have an early breakfast and with packed lunch transfer to Akagera National Park for a full day game viewing experience. The park is located in Eastern Rwanda and its home to the big five game which make it the best place for game viewing. Expect to see a variety of wild animals which include Lions, Buffalos, Elephants, Rhinos, Leopards, Giraffes, Zebras, Topis, Waterbucks, Warthogs and Elands among others. Other activities to do in Akagera park include a boat ride at Lake Ihema, bird watching and scenic viewing. Later in the day, transfer back to Kigali for an overnight

Day Twenty-Nine 29th November 2023: Kigali city tour/ genocide sites and optional night clubbing

Spend this whole exploring the beautiful Kigali city. The city tour entail visiting the genocide memorial sites where the remains of 1994 genocide victims were buried. Other places to visit on your city tour include the Kimironko market, Inema art gallery, presidential palace, Kigali convention centre and different shopping centre. In the night, you can do optional night clubbing ($30pp) to experience the nightlife in the capital of Rwanda

Day Thirty 30th November 2023: Departure

This is the alt day of our safari. Enjoy your last moments in Kigali, do any optional activity you would wish and then transfer to Kigali International airport for the departure flight
