Day 1: Pick up & transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

Upon your arrival at Kigali International Airport, the driver guide from Lake Bunyonyi Rock Resort will be waiting for you. Meet, greet and have a brief guide on what to expect on this 3 Days adventure. Drive through the beautiful Kigali city and you can visit some of the top destinations such as the Kigali genocide memorial Centre and Kimironko market.  Cross to Uganda via Katuna/Gatuna border in Kabale district proceeding to Lake Bunyonyi.  Chill at Lake Bunyonyi Rock Resort enjoying the sunset on this beautiful Lake.

Day 2: Mountain Gorilla Trekking

Today you will rise up very early, have breakfast and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National park for gorilla trekking.  Lake Bunyonyi Rock Resort will give you packed lunch since the actual time to spend on gorilla trekking experience is not known. On reaching the park headquarters in Bwindi Forest, register with park management. You will also be briefed on the dos and don’ts of gorilla trekking and what to expect on this adventure. The trek through the impenetrable forest searching for the endangered primates begin at 8:00am and can last for between 2-7 hours depending on the location of the gorillas and the hiking speed of the slowest person in your group. NOTE: Park rangers move at the pace of the slowest person. No one can be lost behind.  After meeting the mountain gorillas, spend an hour in their company. Take pictures, capture live videos and enjoy a close encounter with these endangered primates, which share over 98% of human genes making them our close relatives.

Day 3: Boat cruising  & Departure

Following a relaxed breakfast at Lake Bunyonyi Rock Resort, go for a boat cruise to explore the different islands and attractions on Lake Bunyonyi. The boat offers you scenic views of beautiful Kigezi rolling hills, homesteads and attractions in the neighborhood. The shores of Lake shelter many small birds, which offer you the best bird watching experience. Cruise to the Punishment Island where unmarried Bakiga girls would be takes and left to die in isolation. Other islands on Lake Bunyonyi include Bushara Island, Akampene Island, Bucuraniko Island and Bwama islands. Different local activities especially farming and grazing take place on these islands.  In the evening, you will be transferred to Kigali International Airport for departure
