Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Fly to Kisoro airstrip & transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

The driver guide from Lake Bunyonyi Rock Resort will pick you up from your hotel in Entebbe or g from the airport and transfer you to Kajjansi airstrip for a flight to kIsoro.  On reaching Kisoro airstrip, another guide will be waiting for you. He/she will warmly welcome you and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi Rock Resort. Spend the rest of today chilling and admiring the beauty of Lake Bunyonyi which is the second deepest in Africa.

 

Day 2: Mountain gorilla trekking in Bwindi

Early today, wakeup, have heavy breakfast at Lake Bunyonyi Rock Resort and with your packed lunch transfer to the respective park headquarters in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National park.  Register and assemble for briefing on the guidelines of this amazing experience. You will then start a hike into the impenetrable forest searching for the endangered gorillas.  The trek uphill through dense forests takes roughly 2-8 hours but you are very sure of meeting the gorilla at the end of the trek. You will spend an hour with gorillas in the family, see how each family member plays a different role just like in human homes. The walk through Bwindi Forest also gives you opportunity to meet other wild animals, which live there. These include Forest Elephants, Colobus Monkeys, wild dogs, Giant forest hogs, Civets, Black fronted duiker, golden cats, baboons, Side striped jackal, L’Hoest monkeys and rodents. You will then hike down, met your driver guide and transfer back to Lake Bunyonyi Rock Resort for dinner and overnight.

 

Day 3: Explore Lake Bunyonyi & Fly to Entebbe

Have breakfast and join a boat cruise to explore the hidden gem and enjoy the beauty of Lake Bunyonyi.  The boat cruise takes you to visit different islands at the lake and also offers you the best scenic viewing experience.  You can also do any other optional activity on Lake Bunyonyi such as zip lining, visit Nyombe swamp and batwa cultural tour.  Have lunch at Lake Bunyonyi Rock Resort, check out and drive to Kisoro airstrip for your flight to Entebbe.
