Overview

Book a 10 Days South western & Kigali conference safari arranged and guided by Lake Bunyonyi Rock Resort.  The 10 Days entail exploring attractions and activities on Lake Bunyonyi, Bwindi Forest and Mgahinga Gorilla National parks. You will also comfortably attend your conference meeting in Kigali while staying on the shores of Lake Bunyonyi. The activities to do on this safari include gorilla trekking in Bwindi Forest, Boat cruise/zip lining, community tours on Lake Bunyonyi plus your meetings in Kigali Rwanda

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: pick up & transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

Early today, the driver guide will pick you up from your hotel in Kampala or Entebbe airport. After meet and greet session, the guide will take you through the itinerary briefing you on what to expect on this 10 Days safari. You will then transfer to Lake Bunyonyi in Kabale district southwestern Uganda.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi

Have am early morning breakfast and go gorilla trekking in Bwindi impenetrable Forest National Park.  The day starts with registration and briefing on the dos and don’ts of gorilla trekking. You will be divided into groups of eight and allocated a gorilla family to visit. After briefing, you will be assigned tow armed park rangers to escort you into the jungle. Start up a hike to meet the endangered gorillas. The trekking time can go up to 8 hours but the allowed time to spend with the gorillas is strictly an hour. Overnight at Lake Bunyonyi Rock Resort

Day 3: Golden monkey trekking in Mgahinga

After breakfast, get your packed lunch and drive to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park.  The Park is the only place where these endangered primates are seen in the whole of Uganda. Assemble at Ntebeko Visitor Information where you will be registered and briefed on what to expect. The playful characters of golden monkeys in their communities will amaze you.  There after, transfer to Lake Bunyonyi and chill for the rest of today

Day 4: Boat cruise & Nature walk

Go for a boat cruise to explore the beauty of Lake Bunyonyi. Visit different islands of Lake Bunyonyi where you will meet up with local people digging, grazing and living their daily lives. The cruise near the lakeshores offers you great views of many little birds after which the lake was named “Lake Bunyonyi”. Return to the loge for lunch and refreshment,. In the evening, go for a guided nature walk in Nyombe swamp. The walk offers you a true feeling of a natural undisturbed environment. You are advised to wear closed shoes when going for a nature walk to avoid bites by ground insects.

Day 5: Relax at Lake Bunyonyi

Spend this whole day relaxing on the shores of Lake Bunyonyi shading off the previous day’s fatigue.  You can do any optional activities such as sun bathing, swimming and scenic viewing. Lunch, diner and overnight at Lake Bunyonyi Rock Resort

Day 6: Batwa cultural trail in Mgahinga

After morning breakfast, transfer to Mgahinga Gorilla Park for the experimental batwa cultural trail. The activity is all about learning the traditional forest life of Batwa pygmies. These short people will guide you into Mgahinga Forest to demonstrate how they lived with wild animals for thousands of years. Different activities such as collecting honey, picking medicinal herbs, hunting, gathering fruits and visiting Ngarama cave.  Batwa will also perform their traditional dances and songs to entertain you. Overnight stay at Lake Bunyonyi Rock Resort.

Day 7: 1st Conference meeting

Rise up very early, have breakfast and start your first conference meeting in the resort conference hall.

Day 8: 2nd conference meeting

Enjoy breakfast and like the previous day, settle for your 2nd conference meeting, If you have more time, you can do a many lake activities like swimming, boat rides and many more with a camping Overnight at Lake Bunyonyi Rock Resort

Day 9: 3rd Conference meeting

You will have your last meeting today. Have an early morning breakfast and head over to the conference hall for your conclusive meeting. After the meeting, return to Lake Bunyonyi and relax on the lakeshores for the rest of the day.

Day 10: Departure

Enjoy your last, moments on Lake Bunyonyi, have a relaxed sunrise breakfast, check out and setoff headed to Kampala/Entebbe for your connecting flight.
